Koni/Swiftune Historic FIA Mini Dampers
Not to be confused with the standard off-the-shelf Koni damper.
Swiftune's latest extensively developed race dampers, tested on a range of circuits and conditions over the last year on Nick Swift’s Goodwood winning Historic FIA Mini.
The classic steel bodied Koni damper has been totally re-vamped with the latest technology and high-tech internal components with the aim of valving them specifically to suit the Historic Mini's handling characteristics and Dunlop CR65 tyres. Other new additions include single on-car adjustment for quick alterations of damping set-up (rears are adjusted from inside the boot area so centre mounted fuel tank is required).
Nick Swift's says-
"The new dampers have totally transformed the car. The body roll has been virtually eliminated enabling more speed to carried through the corner. With its infinate adjustablility setting the car up has never been easier."
Spectators and competitors alike are astonished by how well the Swift Mini sticks to the track; this is one of the reasons.
