Dream Come True for Artist D*FACE

May 04, 2023

Street Artist and all round good guy, Dean Stockton aka D*Face has recently taken delivery of his bespoke 1965 Cooper S, complete with a 1330cc Swiftune powerplant pushing out 115bhp.

In his own words...

"Over 2 years ago I decided that I’d mark and celebrate a (then) somewhat imminent (now very imminent) ‘land mark’ birthday, by building my childhood dream classic car. It wasn’t without constraint - I had a limited budget and wanted to bring a car back to life vs. taking something that already existed/ran, I wanted to bring a car back from the grave! Also my motto ‘Everything modified’ well, I had to put my twist on it!!

In truth I had no idea what I was getting into or what that road ahead had in store. A few false starts later and that journey started to smooth out and became a thoroughly enjoyable 2 years, working with the best in the business.

Body shell master Paul Wiginton, Lee, Brian and all at Maldon Body on prep and paint. Nick and Swiftune for the awesome engine and box, Phil from Brightwell Motor Company who took this on and shared my vision with encouragement & enthusiasm, along with Scott Turner who, without his in-depth knowledge, skill and attention to detail, this Cooper wouldn’t be close to what it is. A massive thanks to all those involved. This is what dreams are made of!!"

The D*Face Mini is also the cover star of this months Mini World Magazine.
