Swiftune Sprint Makes a Spectacular Debut at Goodwood
5th November 2025

Our inaugural Swiftune Sprint at the iconic Goodwood Circuit, supported by SU Carburetters, roared into life on Saturday 1st November — delivering fierce competition, plenty of smiles, and unforgettable memories for competitors and spectators alike.
The day featured two classes: the Pre-66 FIA Mini class and the Invitation class, open to Minis and a few A-Series-powered cars. Each competitor had one practice lap followed by three timed runs, all vying for the coveted fastest lap of the day.
The practice lap gave drivers a chance to get a feel for the track and conditions. By the first timed lap, the track was drying under the rare November sunshine, allowing drivers to set their first official times. While Nick Swift was competing at the event, he was removed from the final standings — after all, we can’t have him winning his own event! But he still set a benchmark time.
Lunch brought a highlight for both competitors and fans: all cars lined up for a group grid shot at the start line, followed by an impromptu grid walk, giving spectators a chance to get up close to the cars and chat with the drivers.
With the track now completely dry, the second timed run saw competitors pushing hard for the perfect lap. A brief rain shower half-way through the third and final run prevented further improvements for a majority of the group, adding a touch of suspense to the day’s results.
The competition was fierce, with incredible trophies from SU Carburetters motivating every driver. In the Pre-66 FIA Mini class, it was an incredibly close battle at the top, with just over two-tenths of a second separating the leading trio. Aaron Smith claimed the fastest time of the day, followed closely by Nathan Heathcote in second and Adam Morgan rounding out the top three.
In the Invitation class, 2025 Mini Miglia champion Rupert Deeth topped the leaderboard in his championship-winning car, followed by Chris Watkinson in his striking orange CTCRC Mini, with fellow Mini Miglia racer Kieran Edgecombe rounding out the top three.
A huge thank you to all our competitors for putting on a fantastic show, to SU Carburetters for their incredible support and trophies, and to the Goodwood Marshalls Club — without their dedication and volunteer hours, this event simply wouldn’t have been possible.
Same again next year?
